Ashtanga Yoga

A more intense yoga class aimed at those with experience of yoga. This is a full Led Primary Series class in the original style of Patabhi Jois as taught to Emma by world renowned Ashtanga Master, David Swenson.

Beginners Ashtanga Yoga

This is an opportunity to learn the classical, original practice following a direct line from Pattabhi Jois (the creator of the system), David Swenson (Emma's teacher and original student of Pattabhi Jois) and Emma Conally -Barklem ( David's student who has been trained and authorised by him to pass the tradition on).
Ashtanga Yoga is a powerful ancient system which cleanses and strengthens the body and mind from the inside out. It is a healing system with a continuous flow of breath and movement. This Beginners class will start with the basics of breath, gaze and the opening sequence- where you go from there is up to you!

Yoga HIIT
High Intensity Interval Training
Tuesday's 5.15pm - 6pm

Introducing Yoga HIIT, combining the ancient tradition of Yoga with High Intensity Interval Training, this exciting and challenging class will promote strength, stamina and a serious burning of any excess calories.
You will set an intention then work in a series of fast-paced drills combined with slower paced asanas in a vinyasa style finishing with a well deserved Savasana-aaaahhh at the end!

Vinyasa Flow Yoga

Introducing Vinyasa Flow Yoga. A progressive and deeply nourishing flowing sequence of postures lead by the breath which simultaneously stimulates and soothes mind, body and soul.
Vinyasa Yoga is meditative and gives a lovely sense of connection between the breath and body. We will work with creative and different sequences each week exploring the full spectrum of asana with lots of options for every body.

Ashtanga Yoga Primary Series
Mysore Morning Class

What is Mysore Ashtanga Yoga?
This class is based on how Ashtanga Yoga is traditionally taught in Mysore, India; the home of Ashtanga Yoga and how my teacher World Master, David Swenson was taught by the creator of the Primary series, Patabhi Jois.
The student practises the series at their own pace with one to one guidance and assistance provided by the teacher. It is a peaceful way to practice as there is no verbal guidance from the teacher just gentle hands on assistance.
